If you think your man might make this the day, then here are some outfits that just might look great on those first engagement photos! And if he’s not planning on asking, maybe these will change his mind!
I decided that there are two sides to my personality, the side that loves to conform to fashion and what everyone else is wearing, and the other side… that side that likes to step out of the box and do whatever the H*LL I want to! So I decide to satisfy both in this addition of my blog; I found outfits that both soak up the quintessential Valentines Day colors and mystique and also those that “could be” or on any other day “could not be”.
This first dress is smothered in Love Colors! The only thing I could possibly suggest to pair with this outfit would be gold, simple jewelry maybe with pearls or diamonds on them. Suggestion: look at my post from Diamonds belong on your head and view the gold tiara with light pink and white crystals. For the shoes I think you can go many different ways. Since the shirt itself is very short I feel that a heal would make it more scandalous that what I was going for with all the baby pinks so if you are going with the gold accents then a plain gold flat would do nicely.
Now this one is simple! No jewelry, no coat, just a great; crimson velvet, peep toe, low rise cut boot! If you can find them, let me know because I want them!
Again this one screams Valentines Day to me, but in a VERY DIFFERENT WAY! More like an “R” rated movie kind of way…. This one just drips with sexuality and I love it! I love the idea of a great closed toe, black, pointed toe heal; diamond necklace (one stone round pendant) and a jeweled clutch!
Lace! That’s all the rage now… but what about knitting? This dress is the perfect example of that! Yes it is all white and no it’s not the colors of Valentine’s Day that really get the blood pumping… but its classic, chic and subtitle. I would add a pair of deep red, peep toe velvet, low top boots with this one. Preferably the ones that do not lace up… and a matching red skinny belt! I would do red and pink accents and if you are really going all out, Id also add the gold, crystal, beaded head band/ tiara on my latest blog “Diamonds Belong on Your Head”. Also there are red rings that I will be posting later on this week that I think would look amazing with this and they are also on Lulu’s web site.Last but definitely not least is the dress that I think could be either for Valentine’s Day or even just a great day in the park with “him”.
On this one just trust me…. Pair with a matching green cardigan, think silver snake skin belt around the waist… then if you can find either plain silver flats or plain matching green flats…. I would also go with a silver snake skin clutch just to bring in the waist band! Last but not least let’s try some really different accents in the jewelry… like but not limited to, a silver spoon necklace (also can be found on LuLu’s web page) and silver ball earrings (which I found at Ralph Lauren outlet mall outside of Macon GA).
Now for the “could be” or on any other day “could not be”.
So this is the one I really want for my Valentine's Day.
I enjoy this dress for two reasons: 1. I can wear it again, which if you are like me, you cannot afford to buy a new dress every time you walk out the door for versatility is key! 2. Most people wouldn’t look at this dress and say “yes I want to wear that on my Valentine’s Day dinner with “him”. Which is Key! Be different!
Here I would go with either a deep red or cream rounded high heel. I would pair it with a beautiful set of red rings that I found on LuLu’s web site and a gorgeous leather flower bracelet also found there. As far as earrings, none. And for a purse Id go with plain cream, no sparkle. I ADORE THIS ONE!
I’m Pretty Sure you would be able to guess what I'd pair with this dress.... then again you would probably be wrong! Here I would go with Turquoise accents… mainly, again, because it is different and no one would expect that color on Valentine’s Day! This is the second of my choices for this crazy holiday! There are these amazing bangles on LuLu’s web site that I think are just perfect here! And for other accents, smoking hot black pumps and a great turquoise clutch to go along side…. Also, since it is a little cool during that time try to find a great scarf to tag along! (Turquoise of course!) Since you are doing a mod black and white pattern all over dress multiple pieces of the same color are okay… just don’t overdo it with earrings and bracelets and rings and so forth….
And there it is Ladies... Start looking for that special day's special dress!
