Fabric, Lace and Traces of Gold

So I have been on the hunt for dresses! I’m not really sure why but I feel as though I need more of them, and not the kind you wear out per say, but those that are versatile and can be worn on many different occasions. So I have frequented many online venues to find just the right ones! There are two places so far that I have found that fit my specifications; http://Anthropologi.com (all dresses on manikins are from this web page) and LuLu at http://www.lulus.com/ (which can be found via Lauren Conrad’s web site!) All of these I am just in love with! So I chose a few dresses that would be good for the coming month from both sights! I even added my suggestions as to accents and separate pieces!
Gold is my new favorite color! While I normally shy away from any color combination that could make you look like a buzzing insect, this dress speaks volumes to me and I just cannot ignore it! Paired with a great swede, peep toe, lace up, low rise boot this could be a great outfit for work or play! I would also go as far as putting some very over sized pearls with it as well!
Now this skirt is a little shorter that the previous one, however it can work! For the working woman I'd add either a charcoal grey or black boyfriend cut blazer; maybe some white closed toe pumps and some red accented jewelry ( which I will post options later). Now for play! Take off the blazer and add a red or multi colored jeweled head band! You could even put the pink crystal tiara that is in my last post with this outfit as long as you add some other pink accents....

Now this dress I love! I love it more so because I find it fun to wear off seasoned dresses! I love spring time and anything I can do to prolong that festive season, I'll do! Since there are already flowers, ruffles and shiny threads on this dress you best best would be to go simple. Pair it with a great navy heal (modest of course) a navy pea coat and maybe add some simple pearl earrings. I wouldn't do more than that since you are already over the top with the skirt!

This Piece I call "contrast"! I love mixing darks with lights in any situation! Put a cream colored, boyfriend cut blazer with this and some fun chunky healed, closed toed shoes along with it and your are ready to go! I would even go as far to say a long pearl chain would be a great addition! And as far as the night time goes.... leave it all on except for the jacket! More sophistication and less fuss.... great for a night out with Mr. Martini!

Last But not least.... from LuLu
This sexy chic dress is what I have been looking for! Silk, wool, dark, light... all the greats in one package! I would defiantly pair it with a black blazer, boyfriend cut or waist high... either will do perfect justice to this piece. Then I'd do simple black bangles and some great black peep toe, low rise boots! All the makings for a great sexy secretary!
