Urban Rocks

The city I live in is one of the best when it comes to shopping. I have all the usual stores, Old Navy, Charlotte Russe, Walmart :) but I also have some extras! I have always had to purchase things from Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters and Forever 21 from online, but recently I discovered after living here for about one month that I never have to do that again! For all these stores can be found here! Now I don't have to mention the great feeling of excitement that came over me when I realized this but it has made me more aware of my addiction to shopping! So now that I have to watch my budget and make sure I have enough money to eat I'm shopping less and window drooling more! However it does not deter me from finding some great things that I can dream of purchasing late at night. Here are some of my new loves, all brought to you by Urban Outfitters....

Next Door Neighbor

So I'm coming up with new ways to save money.... and for the first time ever I live near someone who can actually sew! I have commissioned her into making me 4 different pieces that I have always wanted in my closet. Not only that, but I get to pick out the colors, the material, the hardware and even the design of the clothes... so in affect they will be perfect! The reason for this blog now is simply based on the fact that I will be purchasing some if not all of the clothing from the Anthro site that was on my last post and need some extras to go along with them that I just cant find anywhere. So when she finishes I will be posting my new outfits and letting you see just what a great artist she and I as a team really are!

My list of perfect items I need for my closet:
1. the perfect pair of yellow work pants
2. the perfect pair of red work pants
3. the perfect solid black dress with corset bodes
4. the perfect navy blue and white stripped, strapless, sailor top!

Spring/ Summer Fashion Is my FAVE

The best time of the year, to me, fashion wise is Spring/ Summer! I love all the floral, sailor and brightly colored prints and outfits that the designers come up with. Everything about being outdoors I dislike with a passion, however, when the new lines come out and I see all the photos of models in their newly colored fabrics, I just want to run into an open field and show my new stuff off as well! I went onto the Anthro web site and found some amazing things that put me in the mood, not only to shop till I'm broke, but to romp in the sun shine! Now, if it will ever quit raining in Savannah then we will have some real fun!

Here is my new love! First of all we can all agree that most, if not all, things COACH are very expensive... and once in a while when the bag goes out of season or there is an outlet near you we can find these extraordinary pieces for a fraction of the cost. However, the majority of the time we sit on the sidelines watching those Americans who have money wearing the glam we only dream of. But now! Finally! There is a line of COACH that I can afford! Not to mention I like it more than the original COACH classics! Its more up to beat, up to date and down to my price level! POPPY!!!!

No No's for Summer and A little Extra

So I decided to stop giving you the updates for whats to come in the blog... why you might ask... well because I want you to come back every day expecting something GREAT! A topic that you will LOVE! But if I tell you said topic before hand and you have no interest in that topic.... will you return.... I think not! So here goes it with the new motto! Tune in tomorrow to see whats happening!

Okay fashion I get, vintage I get, old lady.... that I don't get! Summer is upon us ladies and as you know every year there are thousands of new swim suites ready and willing to be the one you choose to strut your stuff in on the sandy shores! However, I have decided after much searching and deliberating that there are just some looks that, no matter how popular they were in the 50s and 60s deserve to stay there! Yes vintage is cool, so buy a nice low rise bikini that's retro glam! Don't go out a purchase the high banded suit with extra small top that makes you look like you A) are 90 years old, B) got dressed in the dark and / or C) have no chest and the largest butt in this God given world! Below I have provided some No, No's for Summer and I truly hope you heed my warning!

I'm pretty sure my mother has this exact same suit in a picture of her when she was 5 years old.... shes 52 now if that tells you anything about how outdated this think is!
